The parish officially farewelled Fr Chinh Dinh Trong OP on Sunday 8 March.
Fr Chinh has served for the past two years as assistant priest at Our Lady of the Rosary.
Parish priest Fr Peter Hoang and pastoral council chair Richard Goodwin commended Fr Chinh on his strong contribution to our church and its parishioners over recent years.
They drew attention to his dedication, energy, hard work and humour.
Attendees at 10 o’clock Mass acknowledged Fr Chinh’s fine service and many joined in later at morning tea.
Fr Chinh has been appointed director of social media operations of the Dominican community in Vietnam, a position which will base him in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon).
