Safeguarding Project

The Archdiocese of Perth is the first of Australia’s Catholic archdiocese to begin to establish Safeguarding Officers across its network of parishes.

The Safeguarding Officers are responsible for ensuring the safety of children, young people and the vulnerable in the confines of the parish within the Archdiocese of Perth, educating the Catholic community on children protection and protective behaviours, and assist in implementing and promoting the policies and procedures of the Safeguarding Project.
