Thanks to nuns for aiding parish

Accommodation for parish priest much appreciated

Parish priest Fr Peter Hoang OP and leaders of the Parish Council hosted the local community of Dominican Sisters at the new priory in the lead-up to Christmas.

Fr Peter’s morning tea was a gesture of thanks for the long-term accommodation provided by the Sisters in a flat adjoining St Catherine’s Convent. Both recent parish priests have stayed in the flat while the new priory was being built, saving parishioners a significant outlay on alternative rented accommodation for our priests.

The morning tea was also an opportunity to extend hospitality in the new parish facilities which are proving very popular.

Prioress of the Congregation, Sr Joan Carville OP, thanked Fr Peter for hosting the group and commended the parish on the new building complex which includes the priory, parish offices and Rosary Community Centre.
