Doubleview Parish hosted several hundred delegates attending the Australian Catholic Youth Festival in Perth in early December.
Our church was the venue for a large-scale vigil Mass on Saturday 8 December followed by a meal and refreshments in the Rosary community centre and garden.
The Mass was concelebrated under the leadership of the Bishop of Paramatta, Vincent Long, the diocese from which about 200 young people ventured to Perth. Another smaller contingent came from Melbourne’s Dominican community.
